How to Turn Off the Weather Changer and Restore Normal Weather

Disable the override

If you have been forcing clear skies or a thunderstorm and want to go back to seeing whatever the server or your world is actually doing, you need to turn the mod's effect off rather than set another weather type. Setting it to clear still counts as an override.

Type this in chat:

/cweather off

The /clientweather off form works too. Once you run it, your client stops forcing a weather state and renders the real weather again.

When to use it

Turning the mod off is useful in a few situations:

  • You joined a server event that relies on real weather and you do not want to miss it.
  • You are recording or streaming and want your footage to match what viewers see on the server.
  • You are troubleshooting a visual glitch and want to rule out the weather override as the cause.

After running the command, the next time the server changes weather you will see the change immediately, just like a vanilla client. You can re-enable an override at any time with /cweather clear, /cweather rain, or /cweather thunder.
