Weather Changer Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I change the weather with this mod?
Use the /clientweather command followed by clear, rain, or thunder. The shorter /cweather version works exactly the same way.
Does changing the weather affect other players on the server?
No. The mod works entirely client side and sends no packets to the server, so only you see the change. Other players still experience the real server weather.
Does /cweather actually change the game's weather mechanics?
No, it only changes the visuals on your screen. Crops, mob spawning, lightning damage, and other weather effects still follow the server's real weather.
How do I turn the mod off and get normal weather back?
Run /cweather off to disable the mod's effects and return to whatever weather the server is actually having. You can re-enable it any time by setting clear, rain, or thunder again.
Why does the weather keep reverting to the server's weather?
The mod only overrides visuals while it's active, and the server's real weather can still sync through. Re-run your /cweather command, or check that you haven't used /cweather off.
How do I get rid of thunder and lightning flashes on my screen?
Use /cweather clear to remove the storm visuals, including the flashing. This hides the thunderstorm from your view without changing anything for other players.
Can I make it rain or storm just for screenshots or builds?
Yes, use /cweather rain or /cweather thunder to set the visuals you want. Since it's client side only, you can set up the perfect shot without disturbing the server.
What's the difference between /cweather and /clientweather?
They do the same thing; /cweather is just a shorter alias. Use whichever you find easier to type.
Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, it's designed for client-side use, so it works on servers without needing to be installed server side. It won't change anything for other players.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
No, it only changes weather rendering on your client and doesn't add heavy processing. Performance impact is negligible.
