How to Get Rid of Thunder and Lightning Flashes on Your Screen

Force clear skies visually

Thunderstorms are one of the most disruptive weather types for visibility. The constant darkening, the flashing, and the rain particles make it hard to see mobs, build, or navigate. If you are on a server where you cannot change the weather yourself, this mod gives you a client-side fix.

Open chat and type:

/cweather clear

or the longer form:

/clientweather clear

Your screen will immediately switch to clear skies. The flashing and darkening stop for you.

Important limitations

This is a visual change only. The server still considers the weather to be a thunderstorm, which means:

• Lightning can still strike and start fires or damage entities.
• Mobs that spawn differently in thunderstorms still spawn that way.
• Other players still see the storm.

So while your screen looks calm, do not assume you are safe from lightning damage. If you need actual protection, build a roof or move indoors. Use /cweather off when you want to see the real weather again.
