How to Keep the Vanilla Look While Using Water Improved

Understand What the Pack Changes

The Water Improved Resource Pack only edits water textures to make them more transparent. It does not alter blocks, mobs, items, or terrain, so your world keeps its normal Minecraft appearance. That means you can drop it into an existing survival world without any visual mismatch — everything except the water stays exactly as vanilla.

Stack It With Vanilla-Friendly Packs

Because the change is limited to water, this pack layers well with other light packs. If you use packs for UI, fonts, or minor block tweaks, place Water Improved so it does not get overridden for water specifically. Keep your pack list short and ordered so the transparent water survives any conflict. Avoid heavy overhaul packs that also rewrite water, since they will fight this one.

Preserve the Classic Feel

To keep the vanilla vibe, leave graphics on your usual setting and skip shaders. The pack is designed to enhance clarity without changing the game's mood, so no extra configuration is needed. If you ever want the original look back, simply move the pack out of the selected column — nothing in your world is modified, so toggling it on or off is completely safe and reversible at any time.
