How to Update or Re-Download a Vanilla Tweaks Pack with VTDownloader

Why Re-Download

Vanilla Tweaks packs occasionally change, and a pack you downloaded earlier may no longer match the current version. Re-downloading through VTDownloader gets you the latest files without visiting a website.

Re-Downloading a Pack

Open the resource pack screen and click the VTDownloader button. Navigate to the category containing the pack you want to refresh and select it again, choosing the same options as before if the pack has configurable settings. Confirm the download. The mod writes the new file into your resource packs folder, replacing the previous copy.

Checking the Active List

After downloading, look at your active packs on the right side of the screen. If the updated pack dropped out of the active list, select it on the left and move it back. Keep it in the same position in the order as before so your override behavior does not change unexpectedly.

Avoiding Duplicates

If you end up with two copies of the same pack, remove the outdated one from the resource packs folder so only the current file remains. Having duplicates can cause confusion about which version is active. After cleaning up, click Done to reload resources and confirm the pack still looks correct in-game.
