How to Use Shaders With Voxy Without Breaking the Far View
Pick a Compatible Shader
Voxy supports shaders, but not every shader pack works with it. You need a shader that is specifically built or updated to be compatible with Voxy's Level of Detail rendering. Standard shader packs may render the near world fine while leaving the distant Voxy terrain looking flat, unlit, or invisible.
Load the Shader Correctly
Enable your shader through your shader loader as usual, then check Voxy's settings to make sure its rendering is still active. Some setups require you to toggle Voxy's compatibility option so the shader and the LoD terrain agree on lighting and fog. If the far terrain disappears when you turn shaders on, that compatibility setting is usually the culprit.
Match Fog and Distance
Shaders often add their own fog that hides distant terrain. If your far view looks cut off, reduce the shader's fog density or extend its far plane so Voxy's terrain is not swallowed by haze. The goal is for the shader's atmosphere to blend into Voxy's simplified terrain rather than hide it.
Troubleshoot Mismatches
If distant chunks look darker, brighter, or oddly colored compared to nearby blocks, the shader is not applying lighting to Voxy terrain. Try a different compatible pack or disable the shader to confirm Voxy itself is working.
