How to Make Voxy Render Terrain You Have Already Explored

Understand How Voxy Stores the World

Voxy builds its long-distance view from data it saves as you play. It does not download terrain from a server or magically know your whole world. Every chunk you load gets converted into a simplified Level of Detail (LoD) model and stored locally.

Explore to Fill In the Map

To see a distant mountain or ocean, you must have traveled close enough for the game to load those chunks at least once. Walk, fly, or use fast travel methods to cover ground. The more you explore, the more the far horizon fills in. There is no shortcut that generates LoD data for unexplored regions.

Revisit After Updates

If you change world generation settings, add biomes, or load a different world, the stored LoD data may not match. In that case, re-explore the affected areas so Voxy can rebuild accurate simplified terrain. Old data from a previous world state can look wrong or outdated.

Keep the Data Safe

Voxy's stored terrain lives in your world or instance folder. Back it up along with your save if you care about the explored map. Deleting it means you have to re-explore everything to get the long view back.
