How to Fix Voxy Lag, Crashes, and Missing Far Terrain
Far Terrain Not Appearing
If you set a long distance but see nothing beyond vanilla range, first confirm you have actually explored those areas. Voxy only shows terrain it has stored. Next, check that Voxy's distance slider is not at zero and that the mod is enabled in its config screen. Restarting the game after changing the setting often helps it take effect.
Stuttering or Low FPS
Voxy is lightweight, but very long distances still use memory. Lower Voxy's distance setting before reducing vanilla render distance. If stutter continues, allocate more RAM in your launcher — running out of memory is a common cause of hitching when the far view is large. Closing other heavy programs also helps.
Crashes on Startup or While Exploring
Crashes are often caused by mod conflicts, especially with other rendering or world-generation mods. Remove or update conflicting mods and test again. An outdated shader pack can also crash the game when combined with Voxy, so try disabling shaders to isolate the problem.
Data Looks Wrong or Outdated
If distant terrain looks like an old version of your world, the stored LoD data is stale. Re-explore the area so Voxy rebuilds it, or clear Voxy's stored data for that world and let it regenerate as you travel.
