How to Enable Voxy and Get the Long Render Distance Working
Confirm Voxy Is Active
After installing Voxy, launch the game and open the video settings. Voxy adds its own configuration screen separate from vanilla render distance. If you cannot find it, check that the mod loaded correctly in your mods list — Voxy needs a compatible loader and a recent Minecraft version to function.
Set Your Render Distance
Voxy works alongside your normal Minecraft render distance rather than replacing it. Keep your vanilla render distance modest (this controls the detailed near terrain), then use Voxy's own distance slider to push the visible world much farther out. The distant terrain Voxy draws is lower detail, so you can extend it far beyond what vanilla allows without tanking your framerate.
Let It Build
Voxy does not instantly know about terrain you have never seen. As you explore, it stores simplified versions of chunks you pass through. Fly or walk around for a while and you will notice the far horizon filling in. Areas you have never visited will remain empty until you travel near them.
Check Performance
If the game stutters, lower the Voxy distance setting first before touching vanilla settings. Voxy is designed to be lightweight, but very large distances still cost memory. Give the game enough RAM in your launcher if the far terrain fails to appear.
