How to Find Your Death Point and Recover Your Items

One of VoxelMap Updated's most useful features is automatically marking where you died, so you can run back and grab your dropped items before they despawn.

The Death Waypoint

When you die, the mod places a special waypoint at your death location. It typically appears with a distinct icon and color so it stands out from your normal waypoints. Open your world map or minimap and look for it — it will be labeled as a death point.

Navigating Back

Select the death waypoint and follow the on-screen distance and direction indicator, or teleport to it if teleporting is enabled. The minimap arrow and the waypoint beam make it easy to home in on the exact spot, even through terrain.

Important Caveats

• The death waypoint is created in the dimension where you died. If you died in the Nether, you'll need to travel there first.
• Items still despawn on the normal timer, so move quickly.
• Only the most recent death is usually tracked; dying again overwrites the previous marker.
• Once you've collected your items, delete the death waypoint from the waypoint manager to keep your map tidy.
