How to Create and Manage Waypoints in VoxelMap Updated
Waypoints are the core of VoxelMap Updated's navigation system. They let you mark any spot in any dimension and jump back to it later.
Creating a Waypoint
Press the keybind for creating a waypoint (default is usually B, but check your controls menu if it does nothing). A waypoint editor window opens. Give it a name, pick a color and an icon, and confirm. The waypoint is saved at your current coordinates. You can also open the full-screen world map with M and right-click anywhere on it to drop a waypoint at that exact spot.
Managing Your Waypoint List
Open the waypoint manager from the minimap menu or the world map screen. Here you can:
- Rename, recolor, or delete existing waypoints.
- Toggle a waypoint's visibility so it stops cluttering your minimap.
- Enable or disable the in-world beacon beam that marks the waypoint's location.
- Sort or filter by dimension so you only see waypoints relevant to where you are.
Dimension-Specific Waypoints
Each waypoint is tied to the dimension where you created it. A Nether waypoint won't appear as a valid target while you're in the Overworld, and vice versa. This keeps your list clean and prevents accidental teleports to coordinates that mean something different in another dimension. If you want a matching point in both the Overworld and the Nether, create one in each.
