How to Configure the Minimap, Mob Radar, and Map Settings
VoxelMap Updated is highly configurable. Tuning it to your liking makes it far more useful and less distracting.
Opening the Settings
Access the options from the minimap's context menu (right-click the minimap) or via the mod's settings key. You'll find sections for the minimap, the world map, waypoints, and radar.
Minimap Options
You can change the minimap's size, position on screen, shape (square or round), and zoom level. Toggle terrain, cave, and biome display modes depending on what you're doing. If the minimap blocks your view, shrink it or move it to a corner.
Mob Radar
Mob radar shows nearby entities as dots on the minimap. In the settings you can enable or disable it, choose which entity types appear (hostile, passive, players), and adjust the radar range. On servers, radar may be restricted or considered unfair, so check server rules before enabling it.
World Map and Waypoint Settings
Configure whether waypoints show beams in the world, how they're labeled, and whether teleporting is permitted. You can also control how much of the world map is revealed as you explore. Adjust these to balance convenience against clutter, then close the menu — changes apply immediately.
