Vote Command Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I use the vote command?

Type /vote in chat to display the message configured by your server owner. The command works on both single-player and multiplayer servers where the mod is installed.

Where do I configure what message appears when someone uses /vote?

Open Mod Menu, find Vote Command Mod in the list, click Config, and enter your desired text in the text box. You can also edit the config file directly in your config folder.

Can I put a link in the vote message?

Yes, you can include URLs in the text box, and they will appear in the message when players use /vote. Players can click the link directly from chat if their client supports it.

Do I need to restart the server to update the vote message?

No, changes made through Mod Menu take effect immediately without restarting. If you edit the config file directly, you may need to reload or restart depending on your setup.

The /vote command isn't working. What should I check?

Verify the mod is installed on both server and client, check that the config file exists and contains text, and ensure you're using the correct command syntax (/vote with no arguments).

Can I customize the command name instead of using /vote?

The command is fixed as /vote and cannot be renamed through the mod's configuration options.

Does this mod work on servers with other mods?

Yes, Vote Command Mod is lightweight and compatible with most other mods. Install it alongside your other mods without issues.

Can I add line breaks or formatting to the vote message?

You can add line breaks by pressing Enter in the text box, and some formatting may be supported depending on your Minecraft client's chat rendering.

What happens if I leave the vote message empty?

If the config text is empty, using /vote will either display nothing or show a default message, depending on the mod version.

Can players see the vote message without using the command?

No, the vote message only appears when a player actively types /vote in chat.
