How to Make Your Voice Chat Trigger Sculk Sensors and the Warden
Understanding the Link
Voice Chat Interaction connects Simple Voice Chat audio to sculk mechanics. When you speak, the mod translates your voice into a vibration event at your position, which nearby sculk sensors and shriekers can pick up. This means normal conversation can set off traps or summon the warden if you are careless in deep dark areas.
Getting It Working
1. Make sure Simple Voice Chat is installed and you are actually transmitting (the mic icon shows activity).
2. Speak at a normal volume near a sculk sensor and watch for the ripple animation and redstone pulse.
3. If nothing happens, check vcinteraction.properties on the server. The voice_sculk toggle must be enabled, and the decibel threshold must be low enough that your speaking volume crosses it.
4. Test near a sculk shrieker: repeated triggers will eventually spawn a warden, so do this somewhere you can escape.
Tuning Sensitivity
If sensors fire constantly from background noise, raise the decibel threshold so only louder speech counts. If they never fire, lower it. The vibration frequency setting lets you change which frequency band your voice occupies, which matters if you are trying to avoid specific sensor filters or match a comparator output.
