Troubleshoot Voice Chat Not Working

Check Your Connection

If you can't hear other players or they can't hear you:

1. Verify you completed /vcmc:verify with the correct code from your app

2. Confirm your username matches between Minecraft and the companion app

3. Check that your microphone is unmuted: /vcmc:m true

4. Make sure other players are within voice distance—move closer if needed

5. Restart the companion app and rejoin the server

Verify Server Settings

If the problem persists:

• Ask an admin to check if you're muted server-side using /vcmc:mute
• Confirm you're not in a private group that excludes certain players
• Test with a friend in a small group using /vcmc:groups create to isolate the issue
• Check that crossplay is enabled if you're on Bedrock trying to hear Java players (or vice versa)

If audio is distorted or delayed, move away from other players to reduce server load, or ask your admin to check plugin performance.
