Debug Jigsaw Block Connections in Your Structure
Understanding Color-Coded Jigsaws
The mod automatically colors jigsaw blocks based on their target names, making it easy to spot connection issues during structure testing. Each unique target name receives a distinct color, so you can visually trace which pieces should connect together.
How to Use This Feature
1. Load your testing world with the mod enabled
2. Build or generate your structure containing jigsaw blocks
3. Look at the jigsaw blocks in-world—each will display a colored arrow pointing toward its connection target
4. Jigsaws with matching target names will share the same color, helping you verify connections are correct
5. Grayed-out arrows indicate empty or deactivated jigsaws that won't generate connections
Troubleshooting Connections
If a jigsaw appears isolated (unique color with no matching pairs), check your datapack for:
- Typos in target name fields
- Missing child structures in your pool
- Incorrect jigsaw placement in parent structures
Use /locate feature to find nearby generated features and verify your structures are connecting as intended. Pick a jigsaw block with your cursor to see its full NBT data in the tooltip, including exact target names.
