Visuality Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything to enable the mod or does it work automatically?
Visuality Mod works automatically once installed—there's no configuration needed to see particles. All effects are enabled by default and will appear as you play normally.
Why am I not seeing particles when I attack mobs?
Make sure your particle settings in Video Settings aren't set to 'Minimal'—particles need to be set to 'Decreased' or 'All' to see mob-specific effects. Also check that you're attacking mobs the mod has effects for, like Skeletons, Slimes, and Chickens.
Does this mod affect gameplay or is it just visual?
Visuality Mod is purely visual and does not change any game mechanics, damage, drops, or difficulty. It only adds particle effects to enhance the look of existing actions.
Will this mod work with other mods?
Yes, Visuality Mod is designed to be compatible with other mods since it only adds particles and doesn't modify core mechanics. However, compatibility depends on what other mods you're using—test with your specific modpack if you're unsure.
Can I turn off specific particle effects I don't like?
The mod doesn't have built-in toggles for individual effects, but you can adjust your overall particle settings in Video Settings to reduce or increase particle visibility across the board.
Does this mod work in multiplayer or only single-player?
Visuality Mod works in both single-player and multiplayer, though on servers it only shows particles for actions you personally see—other players' particle effects depend on their own mod installation.
What's the performance impact of running this mod?
Visuality Mod has minimal performance impact since it only adds visual effects without changing game logic. If you experience lag, try lowering your particle settings in Video Settings.
Do armor glimmers only appear on certain armor types?
Armor glimmer effects appear on all armor types when worn or in your inventory, adding a subtle shimmer to enhance the visual appeal of your equipment.
Are there any particles that only appear in specific biomes or dimensions?
Most effects work anywhere, but some are location-specific—for example, stone particles fall in caves, rain ripples appear on water surfaces, and bubble effects occur underwater.
Will this mod work with my version of Minecraft?
Check the mod's download page for which Minecraft versions are supported, as Visuality Mod is updated for specific versions. The mod preserves vanilla aesthetics, so it works across different versions that it's built for.
