Identify Enemy Health by Wound Patterns

Understand Health Tier Indicators

The mod displays wounds progressively as mobs lose health. A creature at full health shows no marks, while a heavily damaged enemy displays numerous cuts and scrapes across its body. Learn to read these visual stages to gauge how close an enemy is to defeat.

Recognize Weapon-Specific Marks

Different weapons leave distinct damage patterns. Swords create specific cut marks, axes leave different wound types, and tridents or spears produce their own unique damage signatures. Over time, you'll recognize which weapon was used based on the mark pattern.

Watch for Color-Coded Damage

Spiders show light blue marks, while creepers display dark green damage that matches their natural coloring. This color-coding helps you quickly assess damage on different mob types without needing to check health bars.

Use Wounds in Combat Strategy

During fights, glance at visible wounds instead of relying solely on health bars. A mob covered in marks is close to death; one with minimal damage is still dangerous. This visual feedback helps you decide whether to press the attack or retreat to heal.
