Visual Set Edit Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I open the Visual Set Edit menu?
Type /vse gui in the chat to open the main management screen where you can create and edit gear sets.
Can I make a set bonus that only works when my health is low?
Yes—create a phase for your set, add the bonus effect you want, then use the conditions menu to set it to trigger only when health drops below a certain threshold.
What's the difference between a 2-piece, 4-piece, and full set bonus?
These are different tiers: a 2-piece bonus activates when the player wears any two items from the set, a 4-piece requires four items, and a full set requires all pieces. You can assign different rewards to each tier.
Do my custom gear sets save and apply to everyone on the server?
Yes—when you save a set in the menu, it's stored in a file and automatically applies to all players on the server.
How do I reload my gear sets after editing them?
Use the command /vse reload to load your saved files again and apply changes immediately without restarting.
Can I assign items to accessory slots or just armor slots?
You can link items to head, chest, legs, feet, hand slots, and also to special accessory slots if your mod setup supports them.
What kind of effects can I give a gear set bonus?
You can grant potion effects, stat boosts (like increased damage or speed), flying, or other special powers—the mod also works with other mods to enable spells and custom abilities.
How do players know what set an item belongs to?
Hold Shift while hovering over an item in your inventory to see a tooltip that shows which set it belongs to and what bonuses it contributes.
Can I set a bonus to only trigger when the player is in darkness or sneaking?
Yes—use the custom conditions menu when creating a phase to set effects to activate only in specific situations like low light or when the player is hiding.
Does this mod work with other mods that add new items or abilities?
Yes—Visual Set Edit Mod is designed to work well with other mods, letting you create sets with custom items, spells, or accessories from other mods.
