Visual 3D Mace Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why don't I see the 3D mace model when I'm holding it?
The 3D model only appears when you hold the mace in your main hand or off hand during gameplay. Make sure you're not in your inventory screen, and check that the resource pack is actually loaded in your world settings. If the enchantment glint is too bright, lower it to 50% or less in Accessibility Settings to see details clearly.
How do I see the wind animation on Wind Burst maces?
The swirling wind effect is easier to see when your enchantment glint strength is set to 50% or lower in your Accessibility Settings. This reduces the bright sparkle overlay that can hide the animated wind around the heavy core.
What happens to the 3D model when I put the mace in my inventory?
The 3D model switches back to a clean 2D sprite when the mace is in your inventory, on the ground, or inside item frames. This keeps your inventory looking organized while still showing the detailed model during combat.
Can I see multiple enchantment effects on the same mace?
Yes, the resource pack combines visual effects when your mace has multiple enchantments. For example, a mace with both Wind Burst and Density will show both the swirling wind and the sharp spikes on the heavy core at the same time.
How do I put the 3D mace on top of my character's head?
Use the item replace command to place the mace on your head, and the custom 3D model will display there. The exact command syntax is covered in the Display Your Mace on Your Head Using Commands guide.
Do unenchanted maces look different from enchanted ones?
Yes, unenchanted maces show only the standard heavy core with no extra attachments. Enchanted maces add visual elements like wind swirls or spikes depending on which enchantments are applied.
Will this resource pack work with other mace resource packs?
Resource packs stack based on load order, so if another mace pack is loaded after this one, it will override the 3D model. Check your resource pack list and make sure this pack is positioned correctly to take priority.
Does the 3D model appear in item frames on walls?
No, maces in item frames display as 2D sprites to keep wall decorations clean and consistent. The 3D model only appears when you're actively holding the mace in your hands.
Can I see the 3D mace model in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so the 3D model will display for you on any server as long as the pack is installed locally. Other players won't see your custom model unless they also have the pack installed.
What if the 3D model looks broken or has missing parts?
Make sure the resource pack is fully loaded and that you're using a compatible Minecraft version. Try reloading your resource packs through the Settings menu, and verify that no conflicting texture packs are overriding the mace textures.
