Understand Attack Cooldowns and Charge Management
How Cooldowns Work
After each attack, your weapon enters a cooldown period before you can swing again. This cooldown prevents spam-clicking and forces you to time your attacks strategically. Heavy weapons have longer cooldowns than fast weapons, but deal more damage per hit.
Managing Your Lunge Charges
1. Track your charges: You have four lunge charges that slowly refill after use. Each swing consumes one charge if you're moving forward.
2. Your next swing won't lunge, reducing damage and mobility.
3. Prioritize high-value targets: Save your charges for dangerous enemies rather than weak mobs. Wasting charges on low-threat targets leaves you vulnerable.
4. Use cooldown time wisely: While waiting for your weapon to cool down, reposition, dodge incoming attacks, or let your lunge charges refill.
5. Stationary attacks: If you swing without moving forward, you won't consume a lunge charge. Use this for quick follow-ups when you're already in position.
Combat Rhythm
This pacing lets your charges refill naturally while keeping you mobile and safe.
