Set Up Random Disasters in Your World

Enable Automatic Hazard Spawning

Random disasters won't occur naturally until you activate them. Use either the command system or game rules to turn on automated events.

Via Command:

Open chat and type:

`

/disaster random_spawning true

`

Via Game Rule:

Alternatively, use:

`

/gamerule naturaldisasters:random_spawning true

`

Both methods achieve the same result—disasters will now spawn unpredictably across your world.

Customize Disaster Settings

Once random spawning is active, you can fine-tune which hazards occur and how often. Type:

`

/disaster settings

`

This opens an in-game menu where you can adjust disaster frequency and disable specific event types if desired. For example, you might want earthquakes but not tsunamis, or prefer meteors over tornadoes.

What to Expect

With random spawning enabled, be prepared for earthquakes, lightning storms, meteors, sinkholes, tornadoes, tsunamis, nukes, and zombie apocalypses to strike without warning. Keep a disaster stopper item in your inventory for emergencies, and consider building shelters or reinforcing your base against multiple hazard types.
