Prepare Your Base Against Different Disaster Types
Understand Each Hazard's Threat
Different disasters require different defenses:
Earthquakes & Sinkholes: Open deep chasms and lava pits. Build your base on solid, high ground away from large open areas.
Meteors & Nukes: Fall from above with explosive force. Construct a reinforced roof or underground bunker.
Tornadoes: Lift blocks and mobs into the air. Use dense, heavy materials and avoid tall structures that catch wind.
Lightning Storms: Strike repeatedly. Avoid tall lightning rods or isolated peaks; stay indoors in covered areas.
Tsunamis: Sweep across the landscape. Build on elevated terrain, never in valleys or near water.
Zombie Apocalypses: Spawn undead mobs. Surround your base with walls and well-lit areas.
Multi-Hazard Strategy
Since multiple disaster types can occur, design your base with layered protection: an elevated foundation (protects against sinkholes and tsunamis), a reinforced roof (blocks meteors and nukes), and perimeter walls (stops zombies and tornadoes). Store critical items in a deep underground vault sealed with blast-resistant blocks.
