Finding Safe Villages to Trade With

Locating Unaffected Settlements

With roughly 80% of villages converted to abandoned ruins, safe trading hubs are now rare. Use these strategies to locate them:

Search systematically across biomes. Travel through plains, desert, savanna, snowy, and taiga biomes—the five biomes affected by this pack. Villages in these areas have the highest chance of being ruined, but some will remain intact. Mark your map or use coordinates to track which settlements you've checked.

Look for signs of life. Approach villages cautiously and scan for:

• Absence of cobwebs covering structures
• Intact doors and windows
• Active villagers (not zombie villagers)
• Well-maintained crops and buildings

Establish a trading post. Once you find a safe village, consider it a valuable resource. Build nearby storage and establish a base to access those traders reliably. The scarcity of safe hubs makes each one worth protecting and utilizing.

Travel prepared. Since most villages are now hostile zombie settlements, always carry weapons and armor when exploring. Zombie villagers can be dangerous, and ruined structures may collapse or trap you.
