Complete the Cartographer Reward Collection

Understanding Cartographer Drops

Cartographers offer the widest variety of exploration-related items. They provide navigation tools, maps to specific structures, and rare recovery compasses. Each item has distinct drop rates ranging from 25% down to 0.5%.

Collecting All Map Types

Common maps: Empty maps (25%) and compasses (20%) drop frequently—you'll obtain these naturally while farming.

Structure maps: Surface exploration maps for swamp huts, desert pyramids, jungle temples, and trail ruins each have 2% rates. Defend multiple raids to collect all four types.

Rare maps: The ancient city map drops at 1.5%, making it significantly rarer than structure maps but more common than recovery compasses.

Ultimate rare: Recovery compasses sit at 0.5%—expect to complete many raids before seeing one.

Farming Approach

Defend raids exclusively in villages with Cartographers. Track which maps you've already obtained to confirm you're making progress toward a complete collection. Combine cartographer raids with other professions if the village has multiple traders.

Practical Use

Once collected, these maps guide you to valuable structures and ancient cities. The recovery compass is particularly useful for retrieving lost items from death locations.
