How do I start getting rewards from Village Hero Plus?
Defend a village from a raid by defeating the raiders. After the raid ends, villagers will automatically gift you items based on their profession. The more raids you defend, the more chances you have to receive rewards.
What's the best villager profession to farm for rare items?
The Cleric offers the widest variety of rare drops including ancient debris and dragon breath, while the Armorer is best for enchanted armor and netherite templates. The Butcher has the highest chance (0.5%) for the luck potion, which multiplies your rewards.
How does the luck potion actually work?
The luck potion is a rare drop from the Butcher that gives you a chance to multiply your raid rewards when consumed. Use it strategically after defending raids to maximize the items you receive.
Can I farm specific items from one villager type?
Yes—each profession has a dedicated loot table. For example, farm the Cartographer for maps and exploration items, the Farmer for enchanted golden apples, or the Fisher for fishing rods and ink sacs.
Why am I not getting any rare drops?
Rare items have very low drop chances (0.5% to 3.75% depending on the item). You need to defend many raids to see rare rewards; consider defending multiple raids in succession or using the luck potion to increase your chances.
Do villagers give gifts during normal trading or only after raids?
Villagers only gift items after you defend a raid—they won't give rewards during regular trading. You must actively participate in raid defense to trigger the reward system.
What's the difference between common, uncommon, and rare gifts?
Common gifts have higher drop percentages (5-12.5%) and are basic items, uncommon gifts are mid-tier with lower chances (1-3%), and rare gifts have the lowest chances (0.5%) but include legendary items like elytra, luck potions, and ancient debris.
Can I get enchanted golden apples from multiple villagers?
Yes—the Farmer has a 0.5% chance to drop enchanted golden apples, and the Armorer can also drop them as a rare gift. Farm both professions if you're hunting for multiple copies.
Do I need to do anything special to make villagers give better rewards?
No special setup is needed—simply defend raids and collect rewards. The only way to improve your odds is to defend more raids or use a luck potion to multiply rewards from a single raid.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Village Hero Plus adds reward drops during raids but doesn't significantly impact performance. If you experience lag, it's likely from the raid event itself rather than the mod's reward system.
