How do I craft a coaster seat?
Check your crafting guide for the coaster seat recipe—it uses standard materials you can gather early in survival mode. Once crafted, you'll get a white seat that you can dye to any of the sixteen colors.
Can I place coaster seats on any rail track?
Coaster seats work on Create rail contraptions and moving structures like trains and elevators. They attach directly to the moving blocks, so they'll move with your contraption without detaching.
How do I change the color of a seat I already placed?
Right-click the placed seat while holding any dye color, and it will recolor instantly. You don't need to break and replace the seat.
What's the difference between upright and reclining positions?
Right-click a placed seat with a wrench to toggle between upright (normal sitting) and reclining (leaned-back) angles. Both positions are purely visual and don't affect gameplay.
How many players can sit on one coaster seat?
Each coaster seat block holds one passenger. To seat multiple players, place multiple seats next to each other on your contraption.
Do I need to be in Creative mode to use coaster seats?
No—coaster seats are fully craftable in survival mode, so you can build your rides without switching modes.
Will coaster seats break if my contraption moves fast?
Coaster seats are designed to stay attached to moving contraptions at any speed, so they won't detach or break during fast rides.
Can I sit in a coaster seat that's not moving?
