Configure Vertigo's Render Distance for Your Setup

Finding the Configuration

Vertigo's settings are typically found in your mod configuration folder. Look for Vertigo-related config files in your .minecraft/config directory or equivalent location for your launcher.

Adjusting Vertical Load Range

The mod allows you to control how many chunk sections above and below the player are kept loaded. If you have a powerful computer, you can increase this range to see further vertically. If performance is still an issue, reduce the range to load fewer sections.

Testing Your Settings

After adjusting the configuration, restart your game and load your world. Fly to a high altitude and observe how many layers you can see below you. Descend into caves and check visibility upward. If you experience stuttering or lag, the range is too high for your system—reduce it incrementally.

Balancing Performance and Visibility

There's no universal "best" setting. Your ideal configuration depends on your hardware, other mods installed, and personal preference. Start conservative and increase until you notice performance drops, then back off slightly.
