Experience Realistic Wet Reflections During Rain

Ensure Wet Reflections Are Enabled

Open shader settings and confirm that Wet Reflections or Rain Reflections is toggled on. This feature activates automatically when rain or snow falls in your world.

Trigger Rain in Your World

Wet reflections work best in open areas where you can see the sky and reflective surfaces.

Observe Reflection Effects

Look at:

  • Water surfaces: Lakes and rivers become mirror-like, reflecting the sky and nearby blocks
  • Wet blocks: Stone, dirt, and wood darken and gain a glossy sheen
  • Puddles: Flat surfaces like grass and stone develop visible water film reflections
  • Bright lights: Glowing blocks and torches reflect more vividly on wet terrain

Adjust Reflection Intensity

If reflections seem too strong or too faint, return to shader settings and locate the Reflection Strength or Wetness slider. Increase for more dramatic puddle effects, or decrease for subtler, more realistic reflections.

Stop Rain to See the Difference

Use /weather clear to end rain and notice how reflections fade, confirming the effect is working correctly.
