Enable Colored Block Lighting in Your World

Access Shader Settings

Press the shader settings key (default: Right Shift) while in-game to open the Verlixia Shaders configuration menu. Look for the Lighting or Colored Lighting section.

Activate Colored Light Sources

Locate the toggle for colored block lighting and ensure it is enabled. This setting allows light-emitting blocks like glowstone, lanterns, and redstone lamps to cast their own colored light onto surrounding blocks and terrain.

Observe Light Propagation

Once enabled, place light-emitting blocks in dark areas—caves, underground bases, or night scenes. You'll notice:

  • Warm blocks (like torches and lanterns) cast orange-yellow light
  • Cool blocks (like soul lanterns) cast blue light
  • Colored blocks (like amethyst or neon-style custom textures) cast matching hues

The colored light spreads realistically across nearby surfaces, creating atmospheric lighting without relying on vanilla light levels alone.

Fine-Tune Intensity

If colored lighting feels too strong or too subtle, return to shader settings and adjust the Light Intensity or Bloom Strength sliders to match your preference.
