Configure Shader Performance for Your Computer

Open Performance Presets

Access the shader settings menu (Right Shift by default) and navigate to the Performance or Quality tab. Verlixia Shaders offers three built-in profiles.

Choose Your Profile

Low Profile: Disables or reduces heat haze, bloom effects, and complex reflections. Use this if you experience frame drops or have an older GPU. Colored lighting and basic wet reflections remain active.

Medium Profile: Balances visual quality with performance. Most effects are enabled at moderate intensity. Suitable for mid-range systems.

Fast Profile: Enables all features including full bloom, detailed heat haze, and enhanced wet reflections. Requires a capable graphics card for smooth gameplay.

Apply and Test

Select your profile and return to the world. Play for a few minutes in varied environments—caves, the Nether, rain—to gauge performance. Monitor your frame rate using F3 (Debug Screen).

Adjust Individual Settings

If a preset doesn't feel right, manually tweak sliders for bloom strength, reflection quality, or heat haze intensity rather than switching profiles entirely.
