Understanding the Verity Demon's New Attack Animations
What's Changed
The Verity Demon now performs smoother, more detailed attack sequences. The most notable new animation is the grab-and-throw attack, where the demon picks you up and hurls you across the arena. This replaces some of the original's simpler strike patterns while keeping the same damage values and combat difficulty.
How to Prepare
When you encounter the Verity Demon, watch for the crouching animation—this signals it's about to leap or grab. The demon's new knee and arm bending make its movements more telegraphed, giving you a brief window to react.
During Combat
Keep moving unpredictably to avoid the grab attack. The throw has significant knockback, so position yourself away from cliffs or hazards. The demon's walking and chasing animations are now more fluid, but its attack speed and health remain unchanged from the base mod. Use this smoother movement to predict its path and time your counterattacks.
The ground animation that plays after defeating a player is purely visual and doesn't affect gameplay mechanics.
