How to Veinmine Logs and Other Connected Blocks
It is not only for ore
Although the mod is best known for ore veins, it also chains log clusters and other connected blocks of the same type. Chopping one log in a tree can bring down the connected trunk logs in one action, which saves a lot of time when clearing forests or gathering wood.
How to trigger it on trees
Use the same approach as with ore: hold the correct tool for the block and mine
one block normally. For logs, that means an axe. The mod then follows connected logs of the same wood type. Mixed trees — for example, a trunk that changes wood type partway up — will only chain the matching
blocks, so you may need a second action for the rest.
Cautions with non-ore blocks
Trees and other natural clusters can be much larger than ore veins, so the item burst and lag risk is higher. Clear the area or stand back so falling logs and dropped items do not trap or lag you. If your pack limits veinmining to pickaxes only, logs will not chain at all — in that case the feature is simply disabled for axes and you must chop normally. Check your tool against the pack's
restrictions before assuming the mod is broken.
