How to Veinmine a Full Ore Vein (Basic Use)
The core action
To break an entire vein at once, you do not press a special key by default — you simply mine one ore block the normal way. Hold your pickaxe, aim at any block in the vein, and keep mining until it breaks. When that single block pops, the mod scans outward for connected blocks of the same ore and breaks them too, dropping their items.
Requirements and limits
Your pickaxe must be able to mine that ore under normal conditions. If the tool is too weak for the block (for example, a wooden pickaxe on diamond ore), veinmining will not trigger. The mod only chains
blocks of the same type that are touching each other, so a vein broken up by stone or dirt will not fully clear in one action. If the vein is very large, expect a burst of item entities and possible lag on both client and server.
If nothing happens
Check whether your server or modpack restricted veinmining to specific pickaxes. By default it is active for every pickaxe, but pack authors often limit it to certain tools for balance. If your tool qualifies and the ore is still breaking
one block at a time, the vein may simply not be connected, or a cooldown may be blocking repeated use.
