Prevent Accidental Tool Breakage
Understanding Tool Warnings
Veinify adds visual alerts to your pickaxe (and other tools) when durability runs low. These warnings give you time to repair or swap tools before they break mid-mine.
How the Warning System Works
1. Orange flash at 10% durability — Your pickaxe begins flashing orange when it has roughly one-tenth of its health remaining.
2. Red flash at 1% durability — The tool turns red as it approaches complete breakage. This is your last chance to stop mining.
3. Watch during long mining sessions — Pay attention to your tool's color while gathering resources. The flashing is noticeable but easy to miss if you're focused on ore locations.
Best Practices
- Carry a spare tool — Always bring a backup pickaxe so you can swap immediately when the orange warning appears.
Head back when you see orange to repair or craft a new tool.
- Combine with Mending — If your tool has Mending, the warning still helps you know when to stop and let experience orbs repair it.
This system works for all tools, not just pickaxes.
