Veinify Better Mining Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything after installing the pack or does it work automatically?
The pack works automatically once installed—just load a world and you'll see glowing ores and other visual changes right away. No configuration or setup is needed.
Why can't I see the glowing ore effect?
Make sure you're in a dark enough area; the glow is most visible in caves and underground. If ores still don't glow, check that the resource pack is enabled in your resource pack menu and ranked above any conflicting packs.
Does the pickaxe warning work with all tool types?
The durability warning primarily works for pickaxes, shovels, and axes—it flashes orange at low durability and red when nearly broken to prevent accidental loss.
Can I use this pack with other resource packs?
Yes, but place Veinify above other packs in your resource pack list so its textures take priority. If you use multiple packs that change the same blocks, the top pack wins.
Does this mod affect performance or cause lag?
No—this is a resource pack only, so it doesn't add new blocks or change game logic. It only changes textures and visual effects, which has minimal performance impact.
How do I know which blocks are infested without the warning?
Infested blocks now display a clear X pattern overlay so you can spot them before accidentally breaking them and spawning silverfish.
Does the Ancient Debris highlight work in all lighting?
Yes—Ancient Debris is recolored to pale white so it stands out against dark Netherrack regardless of light level, making it much easier to spot in the Nether.
Will this pack work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use it on any server without needing permission or affecting other players.
What happens to the fog underwater and in lava?
The thick fog is removed entirely, giving you clear visibility so you can navigate safely and see exactly where you're swimming or what's around you.
Does the Efficiency enchantment tool change affect gameplay?
No—it's purely visual; tools change appearance based on their Efficiency level to help you quickly identify which tools are best for the job, but it doesn't change how fast they mine.
