Chop down a whole tree in one hit

Setup

Equip an axe in your main hand. Any type of axe works (wood, stone, iron, diamond, netherite, or modded variants).

Chopping the tree

1. Find a tree with connected log blocks (oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, etc.)

2. Press and hold Shift to crouch

3. While crouching, left-click any log block that is part of the tree trunk or branches

4. All connected logs will break instantly and drop as items

What gets harvested

• Only log blocks that are connected to the one you clicked will break
• Leaves are not affected by vein miner and must be broken separately or will decay naturally
• Branches extending from the main trunk are included if they're connected
• Tool durability applies per block, so large trees consume more durability

Notes

• Silk Touch and other axe enchantments apply to all logs harvested
• If you break a log without crouching, only that single block breaks
