How do I start using vein miner?
Hold a tool (pickaxe for ore, axe for logs), press and hold Shift to crouch, then break any block in a vein or tree. The entire connected cluster will break at once.
Why isn't vein miner working when I break blocks?
Make sure you're holding Shift to crouch before breaking the block—vein mining only triggers while sneaking. If it's still not working, check that the system isn't disabled with `/scoreboard players set system_disabled uvm.config 1`.
Does vein miner work on servers?
Yes, it works on vanilla servers without requiring any client-side mods because it uses only vanilla game mechanics and data packs.
Will vein miner break my tools faster?
Tools take normal durability damage as if you had mined each block individually, so durability consumption is the same as regular mining.
Can I add custom blocks from other mods?
Yes, use `/function uvm:add_ore {n:"modid", b:"block_id"}` to add blocks from other mods, or `/function uvm:add_ore {b:"block_id"}` for vanilla blocks.
Does Silk Touch work with vein miner?
Yes, enchantments like Silk Touch are fully respected and will apply to all blocks broken in the vein.
How do I turn off vein miner without uninstalling it?
Run `/scoreboard players set system_disabled uvm.config 1` to disable it, or `/function uvm:reset_config` to restore all default settings.
What's the preview feature and which versions have it?
Newer game versions show a visual highlight on all blocks you're about to harvest before you break them, so you can see the full vein or tree at a glance.
Can I remove a block from vein mining after adding it?
Yes, use `/function uvm:remove_ore {b:"block_id"}` to remove any custom block you've added to the ore list.
Does vein miner work with tall trees?
Yes, it chops down entire tall trees in one hit when you crouch and break a log, just like it does with ore veins.
