Enable Vein Mining on a Multiplayer Server

Using Sneak to Activate Vein Mining

Vein Mining works on any server running the mod, even if you don't have it installed. To activate it:

1. Equip a pickaxe, axe, or shovel appropriate for the block you want to mine

2. Hold Sneak (default: Shift key)

3. Left-click on an ore or mineable block

4. The entire connected vein will break simultaneously

Enhanced Control with Mod Installed

If you have the mod client-side, you gain access to a dedicated keybind:

1. Open your controls settings (Options → Controls)

2. Search for the Vein Mining keybind

3. Assign it to a key of your choice (many players use middle-mouse or a side button)

4. Use this keybind instead of sneaking for faster, more reliable vein mining

The keybind method doesn't require sneaking, so you can mine veins while moving normally. This is especially useful when you want to vein mine without accidentally triggering sneak-dependent mechanics like eating or drawing a bow.
