Troubleshoot blocks not rotating or deforming

Common causes

If falling blocks appear static and don't rotate or squash-and-stretch:

1. Check if the block is disabled in your config file—some blocks may have rotation/deformation turned off by default

2. Verify the mod is loaded by checking your mods list in-game

3. Ensure you're on a compatible version of Minecraft and the mod

Fixing the issue

Open your config file and confirm the affected block has rotation and/or squash-and-stretch enabled (set to true or a value above 0).

If the block is enabled but still not working:

1. Delete the config file entirely and restart—this regenerates defaults

2. Check that you're actually watching *falling* blocks (blocks affected by gravity), not placed blocks

3. Ensure the block is falling from a height; effects may be subtle on short drops

Reloading

After editing the config, fully restart Minecraft rather than just reloading chunks. Changes to block settings require a complete game restart to take effect.
