Adjust squash and stretch intensity
Understanding squash and stretch
Squash and stretch makes falling blocks compress slightly when moving fast and elongate when slowing down, creating a more dynamic visual effect. The intensity of this effect is configurable.
Modifying the setting
Open your mod's configuration file in .minecraft/config. Find the squash-and-stretch multiplier or intensity value—this controls how pronounced the effect appears.
1. Increase the value to make blocks deform more dramatically at high speeds
2. Decrease the value for subtle, realistic deformation
3. Set it to 0 to disable squash and stretch entirely while keeping rotation
Per-block customization
You can also adjust squash and stretch on a per-block basis. Each block entry in the config typically has its own intensity setting. This lets you apply strong deformation to sand while keeping gravel subtle, for example.
Save your changes and restart the game to see the new effect applied to falling blocks.
