Configure Ore Generation for Your Playstyle

Access the Configuration File

Locate the mod's config file (typically in your world or server settings folder). Open it in a text editor to view the global and per-ore settings.

Adjust Global Multipliers

  • vein_size_multiplier: Controls how large ore clusters are. Lower values (like 0.5) create smaller veins; higher values create massive deposits. Start with small adjustments (0.1 increments) to test.
  • attempt_multiplier: Determines how often the mod tries to generate veins per chunk. Increase this if ores feel scarce; decrease it if you want a slower, more challenging experience.

Fine-Tune Individual Ores

Each ore type has its own min_y and max_y settings. Adjust these to change where specific ores spawn:

  • Lower min_y values push ores deeper
  • Raise max_y to make ores spawn higher up

Enable or Disable Features

  • Toggle nether_generation_enabled to control Nether ore spawning
  • Use auto_discover_modded_ores to automatically detect ores from other mods
  • Set auto_enable_discovered_modded_ores to activate new ores without manual config edits

Reload Your World

Save changes and restart your world or server. New chunks will use your updated settings.
