Switch to Inventory Chest Mode

What This Mode Does

Instead of receiving a bonus chest in the world, new players get a chest item directly in their inventory that they can place anywhere. This mode doesn't require the bonus chest world setting to be enabled.

Enabling the Mode

1. Open the chat and enter: /function various_starting_loot:settings

2. Execute the command — this toggles the second mode on

3. Create a new world (or have new players join) — they'll receive a chest in their inventory

4. Place the chest anywhere and open it to access your biome-specific starting loot

Advantages

This mode gives you flexibility in where you store your starting items. You can place the chest near your first shelter, carry it with you, or set it up at a central base location. New players joining an existing world will also receive their own chest with appropriate loot.

Run the command again to toggle back to standard bonus chest mode.
