How the Pack Works

Variants Cakes is a resource pack that replaces Minecraft's single cake texture with 26 different designs. It doesn't change how cakes function—only how they look.

Variant Assignment

The pack uses Minecraft's texture system to display different cake appearances. When you place a cake, the resource pack determines which of the 26 variants displays based on the cake's position or properties in the world.

What This Means for Gameplay

• No new items: You still craft and use regular cakes
• Visual variety only: All variants behave identically when eaten or placed
• Automatic application: Once installed, the pack applies variants without any player input
• Consistent looks: The same cake variant may appear in the same location if you replace it

Compatibility

Since this is purely a visual resource pack, it works alongside any Minecraft version that supports resource packs. It won't conflict with mods that add new items or change mechanics—only with packs that also modify cake textures.
