Prepare Terrain for Building Projects Without Settlement Clusters
Clearing Space for Builds
Removing Repurposed Structures villages opens up large areas of terrain for your own projects. Without custom town clusters, you have more freedom to find flat, unobstructed land.
Finding Suitable Building Areas
- Explore biomes you want to build in; you'll encounter fewer pre-generated structures blocking space
- Use
/locate structureto map out remaining dungeons and temples, then plan builds around them - Flat biomes like plains and deserts are now cleaner for large projects
- Forest and mountain biomes have more natural terrain without settlement interference
Terrain Preparation
Once you've found your spot:
1. Clear any remaining small structures if needed
2. Use /fill commands for large-scale terraforming
3. Plan around vanilla villages if you want them nearby for trading
4. Consider keeping natural dungeons or temples as landmarks or incorporated features
The open landscape gives you maximum creative control over your building projects without competing with modded settlement generation.
