Keep Vanilla Villages for Trading While Removing Modded Towns

Preserving Vanilla Villagers

This data pack specifically targets Repurposed Structures villages. Standard Minecraft villages—with naturally spawning villagers for trading—remain completely unaffected and will generate normally.

Finding Vanilla Villages

Vanilla villages spawn in:

• Plains biomes
• Deserts
• Savannas
• Taigas
• Snowy plains
• Meadows

Use /locate structure minecraft:village to find them. These villages are smaller than the custom Repurposed Structures towns and contain the standard villager professions for trading.

Trading Setup

Once you locate a vanilla village, you can:

• Cure zombie villagers to get discounted trades
• Build trading halls around existing villagers
• Establish supply chains using librarians for enchanted books

The data pack doesn't interfere with any vanilla village mechanics, so your trading infrastructure works exactly as it normally would.
