How to Move and Reposition HUD Elements in VanillaHUD
Opening the HUD Editor
VanillaHUD lets you drag vanilla HUD elements to new positions instead of being locked to their default spots. Open the mod's configuration screen from the mod list or via its keybind, then look for the layout or positioning section. From there you can select an element such as the bossbar, action bar, or sidebar and move it around the screen.
Repositioning Each Element
- Bossbar: By default it sits at the top center. Drag it down if you want it closer to your crosshair, or shift it to a corner to keep the top of the screen clear.
- Action bar: This is the text line that appears above the hotbar. You can raise or lower it so it does not overlap other elements.
- Sidebar: The scoreboard sidebar normally hugs the right edge. Move it left, or reposition it vertically, so it does not clash with your minimap or other mods.
Fine-Tuning
After dragging, use the offset or coordinate fields if the mod exposes them, so placement is exact rather than approximate. Test in a world with an active bossbar and scoreboard to confirm nothing overlaps. If an element disappears, check that it is not toggled off or pushed off-screen. Save the config when you are happy, since changes usually apply live but persist only after saving.
If you run multiple HUD mods, reposition one element at a time and re-check, so you can tell which mod controls which piece.
