Troubleshoot Fullbright Not Working in Specific Areas

Common Reasons Fullbright Fails Locally

Occasionally, certain biomes, dimensions, or structures may not appear fully bright despite the pack being active. This usually happens due to pack conflicts or incomplete application.

Diagnostic Steps

1. Verify the pack is active: Open Options > Resource Packs and confirm Vanilla Fullbright appears in the "Selected" column

2. Check for conflicting packs: Disable all other resource packs temporarily and test again

3. Reload chunks: Use F3 + A (Java Edition) to force a chunk reload in the affected area

4. Test in different dimensions: Visit the Overworld, Nether, and End to see if the problem is location-specific

5. Create a new world: If fullbright works in a fresh world but not your current one, your world may have corrupted lighting data

If Problems Persist

Restart your game client completely and re-enable the pack. If specific biomes or structures remain dim, the pack may have intentional exceptions for those areas, or your GPU may not be rendering the brightness settings correctly. Verify your graphics driver is up to date.
