Adjust Brightness Levels to Suit Your Preference
Understanding the Pack's Brightness Settings
The Vanilla Fullbright Resource Pack applies a uniform brightness boost across your world. If the default full brightness feels too harsh or you want partial brightness instead, you'll need to modify the pack's files.
How to Customize Brightness
1. Locate your resource pack folder in .minecraft/resourcepacks/
2. Right-click the Vanilla Fullbright pack folder and select Extract (or open with an archive manager)
3. Navigate to assets/minecraft/shaders/ or the lighting configuration files
4. Open the relevant .json or shader files in a text editor
5. Look for brightness or gamma values and adjust them downward for dimmer lighting, or upward for maximum brightness
6. Save your changes and reload the pack in-game via Options > Resource Packs
Testing Your Changes
After modifying values, create a new world or revisit different biomes to see how caves, night environments, and outdoor areas look. Small incremental adjustments work best—try reducing brightness by 10-20% at a time until you find your ideal balance between visibility and atmosphere.
