Understanding Ore Block Connections

The Vanilla Connected Textures Resource Pack extends connected textures to ore blocks—including coal, iron, gold, diamond, emerald, and redstone ores. When you place ore blocks adjacent to each other, their textures will connect seamlessly rather than showing hard edges.

Building with Ores

This is particularly useful for decorative builds, mining displays, or themed structures. Mine ore blocks normally, then place them in your build. The connected texture system automatically detects adjacent ore blocks of the same type and applies appropriate edge blending.

Compatibility Note

Connected ore textures work with both stone and deepslate variants. The pack respects the base textures of each ore type, so your builds maintain Minecraft's classic appearance while gaining visual polish. This enhancement is especially noticeable in large ore deposits or when creating ore-themed decorative walls.
